Technology
Being in Team YugaTech, it isn’t a surprise that all of us own smartphones. During our downtime, if we’re not creating articles or streaming videos, we’re immersed in playing mobile games. In this list, we’ll be checking out each team member’s favorite game for the month of February! Abe Olandres, Editor-in-Chief  For YugaTech’s Boss, Mobile Legends is the game he’s currently hooked on. This game falls under the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre which is why Abe likes it as this reminds him of DoTA (Defense of The Ancients). This also allows him to play with four of his other friends which is more fun than going solo. Samsung Galaxy S10 Series: What we know so far

Technology
Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone is just around the corner, and as usual, we get plenty of leaks that the only thing left to do is to just make them official. So before that happens, here’s what we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. Infinity-O Display One of the earliest information we received about the Galaxy S10 is its new design for the display, skipping the tiny notch trend altogether and just went straight for the punch-hole design called the Infinity-O Display, as found in the Galaxy A3s / A9 Pro (2019). The result is an almost all-screen display with really slim bezels. Further leaks also revealed the Galaxy S10+ to feature the same design but with double lenses. As for the screen size, the S10 sports a 6.1-inch OLED, S10+ has a 6.4-inch, while the ...

Is the iPod officially dead?

Technology
When was the last time you bought an iPod? Even an iPod Touch for that matter? Just recently, Apple quietly pulled out all iPod listings on their online store (except for the venerable iPod Touch). Besides, they haven’t really updated that product line for a long time. This move signals an end to the era of dedicated music players. For most people, the iPod was their first true taste of the Apple ecosystem. Aside from having a smartphone on hand, the iPod Shuffle, Nano or Touch were a must-have especially if you’re a music junkie. Literally, you have access to hundreds or thousands of music at the palm of your hands. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1479779347879-0'); }); if( /Android|webOS|iPhone|iPad|iPod|BlackBerry|IEMobile|Opera Mini/i....

Working from Home: the Pros and Cons for Employers

Technology
As mentioned previously, President Duterte officially signed the Telecommuting Act. Both employees and employers can consider offering a work from home arrangement in their companies but of course, with that comes pros and cons. In our last article, we discussed the pros and cons of employees working from home. This time, here we’re highlighting the pros and cons of this remote arrangement for employers. PROS: 1) An employee is less likely to be late Employees would not need to fight tooth and nail just to get to work on time. In Manila, you always hear anecdotes of employees getting up early just so they’d be able to avoid traffic and the rush of employees to get to their workplaces. Even with that, you’d still hear them say they spend hours on the road, and sometimes, still end up being

Work from Home: the Pros and Cons for Employees

Technology
Just this month, President Duterte has officially signed the Telecommuting Act into law, which ensures that those working from home or remotely will get the same benefits as those working from the office. If you’re looking forward to this kind of arrangement and if your company is offering it, then good for you. But consider its pros and cons which we will discuss below. PROS: 1) No traffic Probably one of the most significant benefits of working from home is that you can skip all the traffic. There’s no need to immerse yourself in pollution or battle it out with other commuters to get a ride. For car owners, you also, in a way, contribute to improving traffic conditions since your car is staying at home. 2) More time for yourself or family Since you don’t have to spend...
